Fabulous and extremely rare size of round dining table made for Kings College in Cambridge in 1899 by top London makers and in situe there for its entire life for the use of the senior staff to decide the future of the greatest academic of our history! Will seat around 16 people very comfortably. Preserved in wonderful untouched condition the table is formed from quarter sawn segmented radial solid oak with inlaid centre piece mahogany motif and stands on finely turned legs united by moulded stretchers. All beautifully hand crafted and crisp as the day made. Dismantles for easy access through standard doorways. Remarkable well Provenanced and rare piece of English cabinet making and cultural history. Measures 96" diameter.
