Charming Georgian Period Tambour Fronted Antique Writing Desk

Description

Particularly aesthetic and beautifully preserved George III small proportioned writing desk with very crisp tambour bureau top, opening to reveal fitted interior of leather inset retracting and adjustable sloping work surface and pigeon holes with flanking drawers. Pair of cockbeaded oak lined drawers below, furnished with original brass oval plate handles and standing on fine tapering legs terminating in original brass cup casters. Wonderful Cuban mahogany timbers, superb colour and patination. Truly a very useful collectors piece of fine early English cabinet work. Measures 36" wide x 24" deep.
